Merton L. Moon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merton L. Moon (Payson, Utah), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merton L. Moon to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dailey and Phyllis LeBaron Moon; his sister Maurine; his in-laws, Jack Van Ausdal and Frances Bills; and his sister-in-law Sandra Rasmussen.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Van Ausdal; his children, Steven Moon (Christee), Jason Shayne Moon (Angie), Jodi Dockstader (Scott) and Heidi Moon; his grandchildren, Brittni (Derek), Zack (Riley), Josh (Taylor), Erik (MakinLee), Brylee (Tanner), Kyle, Bowdrie (Cassidie), Trevor, Maddy, T. Jay, Maylee and McKynlee; his great grandchildren, Saige, Lux, Zain, Bentley, Scottie, Leni, Piper, Callan, Easton and Ketzie; his siblings, James Moon (Kathy), George Moon and Venice Kimball (Richard); and his siblings-in-law, Sherry Hughes (Dale), Bryce Van Ausdal and Carl Rasmussen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (5237 W 10400 S, Payson, UT 84651).
