He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Jay and Elva Jensen Peterson; his children, Carl and Connie; and his siblings, Gary and Joanne Bradford.

He is survived by: his sons, Craig (Diane) and Curtis (Michelle); his wife Barbara Kay Benner; his daughter-in-law Mary Ann; and his brother Jack (Diana). He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
