He was predeceased by: his parents, John William "Bill" Mattinson and Mildred Agnes "Nell" Provstgaard Mattinson; his wife Jo Anne Mattinson; his son Kelly Gene Mattinson; his brother Fred Gene Mattinson; his half-brother Robert "Bob" Murano; and his sister Sally Holt.
He is survived by: his children, Randolph J. Kohlwey (Brynn), Dr. Keith S. Mattinson, Jeffrey W. Mattinson (Dawn) and Susan Hayes (Tim); and his sister Helen Hurst.
