He was predeceased by: his nephew Josh; his brother-in-law Tim Ewell; and his nephew Shane Ewell. He is survived by: his children, Maranda Kae Catalano, Philip Russell Catalano, Daniel Gene Summers and Tory Owena Summers; his grandson Kyden; his nieces and nephews, Gene Ewell and Owena Ewell; and his siblings-in-law, Tracy Ewell and Scott Ewell. He is also survived by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
