He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Vernon Ryan and Edna Westerman; his wife Ila Manwill Gurr; his brothers, Benjamin and Ralph; his son Benjamin; his son-in-law Jeff; his granddaughter Nicole; and his great grandchildren, Mateo and Giulia Valentina.
He is survived by: his former wife Joy Johnson; his children, Linda Anderson, Brenda Ririe (Randy), Douglas Gurr (Terry), Sandra Gurr, Carla Dunleavy (Brian) and Laura Hallen (Eric); his sister Joy Aubrey (Bert); his sister-in-law Mary Ryan; his daughter-in-law Claire Ryan; and also, Joy, Linda and Benjamin. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
