He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willis Jay and Ruby Larsen Hafen; his siblings, Mary and Dave; his children, Sherri Hafen, Susan Bushman (John) and Steve Hafen (Brooke) of Scott Hafen; and his brother David Hafen (Carolyn). He was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He continued into his 92nd year to ride his bike and participate in a bowling league with Norma before Alzheimer's impacted his ability to do so.
