He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Lois Natalie Walker; his spouse Cathie Brooks Sampson; his children, Paul William McCoy (Mary) of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Lois Natalie McCoy of Burlington, Wisconsin and Amy Lee McCoy of Lisbon, Maine; his stepchildren, Summer Johnson (Ken) of Rochester and Samuel Sampson of Orem, Utah; his son Walter Richard McCoy Jr (Lois); and also, Reverend Samuel Walker and March. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren.
