He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Karl Jefferson and MaryBeth Clark Mitchell; his former wife Alma Farmer Mitchell; his wife Joanne Power Mitchell; his children, MaryLyn Lawrence (Larry), Jacquelyn Barney (Bryan), RuthAnn Jarman (Kam), Sherri Winkel (Laren), Jeffrey Mitchell (Amy), Shauna Hunt (Mark), David Mitchell (Michelle) and Wayne Mitchell (Britt); and his siblings, Robert Mitchell (Susan), Clark Mitchell (Evelyn), Thomas Mitchell (Lynette), JoAnn Zaremba (Henry) and Marilee (Alvin). He was also cherished by 34 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
