He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Sidney Branton Sperry and Eva Lila Braithwaite; and his siblings, Lyman Sperry, Elaine Fish, Phyllis Bytendorp, Delbert Sperry, Arlyn Sperry, Brent Sperry and Karen Grant.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Karen Schwartz; and his children, David Sperry, Andrea Craig (Justin), Daniel Sperry, Allison Patterson (Reid), Kenneth Sperry, Erin Zacharias (Jared) and Lisa Ostler (Weston).
