He is survived by: his close friend Patricia Lorraine Holmberg; and his children, Rebecca Gonzales (Victor), Jennifer Nakai (Andy), Christopher Hyde (Tammy), David Hyde (Deborah), Melissa Tyson (Jeff), Emily Thompson (Benjamin) and Dara Card (Jeremy). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
