He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Norman Cox Sr. and Mildred Morrison Cox; his wife Ruby Gurr Duke; his close friend Ruby Cox; his son Ron Cox; and his sister Mary Haglund.
He is survived by: his siblings, LaVar Cox, Genevieve Lapsley and Joyce Page (Joanna Hickman Cox); his children, Ladean, Lynette Nelsen (Gary), Cindy Sorensen (Steve), Cassie Every (Steve), Lisa Safely (Brent), Dana Cox (Gina), Jessie Peel (Richard), Jason Cox (Cyndi) and Stacy Cox; and also, Heather Wood, Jessica Hickman, Jennifer Miskin (Theron), Christopher Hickman and Brock Hickman (Kristen). He is also survived by 34 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
