It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nita Marie Owens of Orem, Utah, born in Macon, Georgia, who passed away on May 29, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hiskey Smith and Mildred Catherine George; her husband Joseph Lyle Owens, Sr. (Lyle); her daughter-in-law Carolyn; her daughter Pam (Marty Birch); and her granddaughter Christy.
She is survived by: her siblings, David Smith (Marilyn), Carol (late Ben Dahl) and Michael Smith (Vivian); and her children, Joe, Mark (Tracey), Matt (Alyssa), Allean (Les Quibell), Kathy, Sandy Moss, Lyman (Monica), Blanche (Brad Britton), Heather (Josh Pope), Tom (Summer) and Georgi (Ryan Britton). She is also survived by 50 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
