With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Braithwaite (Orem, Utah), born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on March 15, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Deputy and Gladys Deputy; her husband L. Dale Braithwaite; her siblings, Russell Deputy and Anne Wardell; and her son-in-law John Bestor.

She is survived by: her children, Steve (Pam Brown), Christine (Kendell Bateman), Russell (Beth Scott), Rebecca (Seth Swindle) and Jeffrey (Holly Fuller); and her sisters, Susan Carpenter and Diane Wallace (Ken Wallace). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.

“I am one of the many lucky women to have worn a beautiful wedding dress made with perfection by your sweet mother and grandmother, Nancy Braithwaite. That was 50 years ago. It was a sweet day two weeks ago when I happened to meet her at Aspen Ridge. I was surprised that she knew me immediately, but she greeted me warmly with a hug. It was a "tender mercy" to see her after so many years. Fond memories and wishes of comfort in her memory.”
