He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Shafter Bown Sr. and Lola Baum Bown; his children-in-law, Kim H. Peterson and Linda L. Bown; and his daughter Laurietta.

He is survived by: his children, Stephen, Barbara, Scott, Julianne and Jennifer; his adoptive children, Cristina, Laurietta, Sergio, Mario and Michael; and his brother Roger L. Bown.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grove Creek Church (942 N 500 E St, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062).
