He was predeceased by: his father Grover Alston Thomas; his wife Raija; his mother Pearl Thomas; and his sisters, Joyce Smith and Priscilla Law.
He is survived by: his brothers, James Thomas and Maurice Thomas; his daughters, Lisa Tanner (Kirk) and Kristina Glaittli (Steven); his grandchildren, Logan Tanner (Kristen), Jessica Mitton (Chris), Sean Tanner (Steph), Katherine Glaittli, Scott Glaittli, Jacob Glaittli (Rachel) and Tyler Glaittli; and his great grandchildren, Olin, Aanders, Miila, Eero Tanner, Aili, Estee, Indy Mitton, Cruz Tanner and Thea Glaittli.
