He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus Otto Nielsen Sr. and Alta Ella Michaelsen Nielsen; and his siblings, Cyrus Otto, Jr., Carl Phillip (Norma), Wanda Lucille (Dale LeCheminant) and Kenneth (Carmela).
He is survived by: his wife Mae Anderson; and his sons, David Evan (Pineau) and Gregory Keith (Nancy). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
