Kati Bauer Obituary
Kathryn Elizabeth Bauer, "Kati", 39 years old, passed away Tuesday 25 February at her home in Orem, Utah. Kati was born 16 March 1980 in Provo, Utah, the fourth child of Sylvia Jeanette Bruber and Marley Craig Howe. Kati passed away related to seizure disorders. Kati attended Bonneville Elementary School, Orem Jr. High, and Timpanogos High School.
She also attended Snow College and on-line BYU Idaho. She majored in Early Childhood Education. Kati had many interests that included sports, crafts, scrap booking, and a love of animals. She loved July 4th parades and celebrations. She would put blankets down and save a spot on the parade route as soon as possible, sleeping out, waiting for the 4thof July parade.
She never missed an Orem Summerfest and would spend all day listening to musical events and watching dance activities. To say Kati was a Glee and Highschool Musical fan is an understatement. She LOVED them both. Musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Cats, Rent, Joseph and the Technicoat of Colors, and Wicked were just a few of her favorites.
She often had season tickets to the Scera Shell outdoor theater. Kati married Patrick Grady Bauer in August 1998 after her Senior year of High School. She and Pat moved to Ephriam, Utah where they both attended Snow College. Pat received his degree in Construction Management. They then moved to Boise, Idaho where Pat worked in the construction of a hospital there.
After a time, Kati and Pat moved back to the Provo- Orem area where Kati lived until her passing. She and Pat had three children together; Ami, Taylor, and Christian. Kati enjoyed being an assistant coach and coaching the boy's baseball teams in the Orem City Baseball Leagues. Kati is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She has served in several Church organizations including as Nursery Leader, in Primary, as a Scouts Leader, and in Relief Society. The children she served grew to love her very much. Kati will be remembered for her fun sense of humor and her kind heart. She loved her many nieces and nephews and was so thoughtful of them. She gave willing to anyone she could help.
We love her and will miss her dearly. Kati is survived by her fiancé, Bill Bateman, Orem; her daughter Ami Arsenault (Christian), Orem; her two sons, Taylor and Christian Bauer, American Fork: parents, Craig and Sylvia Howe, American Fork; Brothers; Steve Howe (Kari), Provo; Mike Howe (Liz), Midway; sisters, Shelly Christensen (Jamey), Orem; Natalie Renfro (Jason), Pleasant Grove.
She is also survived by her grandmother, Jean Crawford of California, aunts and uncles, and many nieces and nephews. The family has set up a Go Fund Me, any donations are appreciated. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 29th, at 2:00 pm, at the Timpview Stake Center, 1050 North 600 West, Orem, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior to services from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
