He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gladys Anna Munk Balser and Leo Steed Balser; his wife Annette Barnes; his former wife Sheree Terry Balser; his son John Keven Balser; his brother Alan Balser (Annette Barnes Balser); his children, Terry Balser (Ellie), Tod Balser (Shanon) and Lauri Jones (Bryan); his daughter-in-law Marlene Olsen Balser; and his stepchildren, Karl Weenig (Polly), Chris Weenig (Linda), Duane Weenig (Janet) and Jill Furness (Doug). He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

For years, Ken took care of Sheree as she lost her battle with Alzheimer's in 2008.
