He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alma Henry Hawkins and Cora Bloomfield Hawkins; his wife Lela Fay Cook; and his children, Terry Hawkins (Rosemary), Shauna Hardy, Glenn Hawkins (Carol), Heidi Casswell (Brian), Juanita Hammer (Dan), Renae Bell (Darryl), Lee Hawkins (Rhonda), Joseph Hawkins (Kim) and James Hawkins (Jennilynn). He was also cherished by 34 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren.
