He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Walter and Vernessa Edna DeGraw Sundquist; his wife Nyla Mae Sundquist; and his sons, Darrel, Doyle and Kim.

He is survived by: his children, Guy Sundquist and Terry Bird (Dave Atkinson); and his siblings, Lloyd Sundquist (Barbara), Emma Brown (Jack), Christina Majers and Karen Martinez (Julian). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter.
