He was predeceased by: his parents, Regina Blanch Mitchell and Leonard John Washburn; his children, Steven Floyd Nordin and Kimberly Nordin; and his grandson Nicholas Gregory Nordin.
He is survived by: his stepfather Olof Alexius Nordin; and his wife Mary Lynette Packer. He is also survived by his wife, four children, three daughters-in-law, eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three siblings and two brothers-in-law.
