She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernabe Tafoya and Maria Hilaria Elisa "Lala" Tafoya (Lucero); her husband Bruce J. Carter, Sr.; her siblings, Angelina Pacheco, Jim Tafoya, Cecile Gallentine, Joy McBride and Terry Tafoya; her daughter-in-law Monika Carter; and her granddaughters, Elena Carter and Rachael Boch.
She is survived by: her siblings, Linda Taylor (Art) and Tom Tafoya (Elaine). She is also survived by her 5 children, 37 grandchildren, 94 great-grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren.
