David Pack Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 8, 2023, at the age of 87, David Pack (Orem, Utah), born in Salt Lake City, Utah passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Keith Knowlton Pack and Florence West; his wife Laura Slater; and his children, John Pack (Sue), Roger Pack (Barbara), Kathryn LeMair and Jenny Hamilton (Jesse). He was also cherished by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was awarded the Superior Civilian Service medal for his significant contributions to the national defense.

Jerome Brad Halgren wrote a sympathy message

“Brother David was my friend I would see him at church but it was at the grocery store or other stores that gave me such joy to run into him, which was quite often, and we would talk and I could often count on running into him at the Orem Library going through the many books for sale, etc. and sometimes at used book stores and it gave me joy to see him. I wanted to come see him shortly before his passing but I've had a lingering cold, etc. but I want you to know I loved him he was my friend.”
