He is survived by: his wife JoAnn; his sons, Kirk Astel (Janna) of Ammon, Idaho, Brian Astel (Lauri) of Orem, Utah and Eric Astel (Jennifer) of Logan, Utah.; and his siblings, Evan Astle and Zoma Kidd. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
