He was predeceased by: his parents, Orven James Moon and Delphia Nye; his wife Patricia Lee Nelson; his brother Alton; and his grandson Stewart Dahl.
He is survived by: his children, Chyleen Lauritzen (Dee) of Orem, Utah, Reid Moon (Melanie) of Orem, Utah, Mark Moon (Elaine) of Plano, Texas, Cynthia Dahl (Scott) of South Jordan, Utah, Keith Moon (Keli) of Allen, Texas and Julie Smith (Merrill) of Katy, Texas; and his siblings, Neil Moon of Myton and Karen Peterson (Wade) of Orem, Utah.. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
