He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Gilchrist and Stella Gilchrist; and his wife Janice Chipman (Manti). He is survived by: his children, Karen Layton (late Mark), Katie Gilchrist (Bob), Richard Gilchrist (Gayla), Geaniel Rowley, Laura Gilchrist (Chris), Rebecca Hall (Jared) and Jennifer Grange (Brandon); and his siblings, Dianne Johnson (Lee) and Arnold Gilchrist (Kathy). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
