She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Connor and Hazel Connor; her husband O. G. "Tug" Bennett; her brother Ruben Connor; and her granddaughter Kristine Muirbrook.

She is survived by: her children, Belinda Jones (Lonnie), Lisa Muirbrook (Ladd), Mark Magee (Krishelle) and Jill Larsen (Garrett); and her siblings, Benjamin Connor (Maggie) and Jeanne Bates (Chandler). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
