With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Valerie Hobbs of Ogden, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 9, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Stehley Dana and Nellie Knight; her husband Jack Lee Hobbs; and her siblings, Gertrude Burton, Leland, Melba, Edward, Max, Kenneth and Carl Dana.

She is survived by: her daughter Carol Ann; her sister Beth Russell; and her children, Stephen (Kathy), Michael and Marilyn Petersen (Scott). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
