He was predeceased by: his parents, Chuichi Kawaguchi and Ryu Nakano Kawaguchi; and his sisters, Toshiko Kawaguchi and Masaye Hattori. He is survived by: his wife Judie; his daughter Kristin Shuman (Matt); his grandsons, Max and Sam; and his brother-in-law Tom Hattori (Kim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
