He was predeceased by: his sisters, Ann Stuart and Sally Dietrick; and his grandson Dominick Shapiro. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Ann Hazard Shapiro; his children, Ronald (Carrie Shapiro), Samuel (Lukie Shapiro), James (Rebecca Shapiro), Daniel Shapiro (Sybil Nienke), Ellen (Scott Campbell), Benjamin (Heidi Shapiro), Jacob (Becky Shapiro), Leah (Chad Rogers) and Jack Shapiro; and his siblings, Teresa (Bruce Talbot), Arlyn (Sheryl Shapiro), Gloria Bartlome, Bruce (Mischell Shapiro), Jack Sterling Shapiro and David (Holly Shapiro). He is also survived by 44 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Washington Terrace West Stake Center (125 E 5350 S, Ogden, UT 84405). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park (836 36th St, Ogden, UT 84403).
