With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melissa Lyn Hunting Gideon in Ogden, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2025 at the age of 48. Though Melissa Lyn Hunting may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Melissa Lyn Hunting touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her parents, Lance Hunting and Sherrie Ross Hunting; her husband Jeff; her children, Logan Ross, Landon Tell, Lila Mae and London; and her siblings, Lindie Martin (Justin), Haley Hogge (Patch), Merika Christiansen (Chad) and Hadley Hunting (Leann).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Plain City Second Ward Chapel (2952 N 4200 W, Plain City, UT 84404).
