He was predeceased by: his parents, William Norman Covey and Ruth Clara Banner; his aunt Myra Snell (Elaine Covey); his daughters, Kellie Auble and Trudy Lewis; his granddaughter Laurie Jacobsen; and his nephew Robert Covey.
He is survived by: his children, Darla Richards (Mark), Paula Grist (Deven) and Max Covey (Katie); and his brother Earl Covey (Wilma). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
