He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Carter and Lola Carter; and his siblings, Mildred "Millie", Blanche "Coonie", Leora "Tootsie", Thomas "Pork", Louis "Louie", Joseph "Butchie" and David "Guttie".
He is survived by: his granddaughter Brittany; his wife Linda Carpenter; his daughters, Raquel Beard (Darius) and Stephanie Grant (Daniel); his stepsons, Courtland Prince (Chalene) and Jason D. Prince; and his siblings, Janice Swenson and Don "Tricky" Carter. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Zion Baptist Church (2935 Lincoln Ave, Ogden, UT 84401).
