He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Chantland and Cora Myhre Chantland; his daughter Bonnie Kay Olsen; his grandchildren, Dee John Alberts (DJ), Stacey Russell, Shana Russell and Marc Alan Streets; and his great grandchild Landon Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Loa Searle Chantland; his children, Christine Peterson (Cliff), Marie Porter, Diane MacLean (Scott), Kathleen Russell (Steve), Debra Streets, Tracey McKissen, David Chantland and Terry Hawkes (Larry); and his brothers, Mervin Chantland and Jon Chantland. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
