He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Child and Della Raine Child; and his sister Susan. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia; and his sons, Micah, Ezra (Allison), Joseph (Holly) and Caleb. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and all but one of his siblings.
