He was predeceased by: his parents, Hendrick Buckway and Verba Chloe Sessions; his stepfather Jack Colby; and his siblings, Vernon Buckway, Dolores Davis and Sharon Furniss.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Carol Ann Thompson; his wife Carol Ann Buckway; his sons, Dallas H. Buckway, Jr. (Shirlene), Cory Buckway (Gina) and Michael D. Buckway (Lorilin); and his sister Sandra Richardson.
