It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ada Gillis (Ogden, Utah), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Willie Ervin; her husband Barry Gillis Sr.; her sons, Stephen Ervin Sr. and Wesley Ervin; her parents, Evan Long and Katherine Drake; and her brothers, Anthony Long Sr. and Douglas Long Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Nicole Ervin (Billy Whittington), Barry Gillis (Christi) and Anthony Long (Nallely Delgado); and her sisters, Bertha Elliott and Delores Hill. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Griffin Memorial Church of God (2424 E Ave, Ogden, UT 84401).
