He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. "Bill" Atkinson and Helen Louise Mosher Atkinson; and his wife Sharlene Lorraine Carlson Atkinson. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Sharlene Lorraine Carlson; his children, Tracy Lynn Atkinson (Michael) and Mark E. Atkinson; his siblings, Karen Dickerman, Denice Cardon, Scott and Kevin Atkinson; his grandchildren, Andrew W. LaBaume (Heather), Zachary S. LaBaume (Saige), Mark E. Atkinson Jr., Emma M. Atkinson, Aidan K. Atkinson, Lauren Schnurstein (Matthew) and Spencer Hopson; and his great grandchildren, Claire Schnurstein, Brody LaBaume, Rhilynn LaBaume and Camille LaBaume.
