It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Violet Soliz-Monsen of North Salt Lake, Utah, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eralio "Ed" Sr. Soliz and Emma "Juanita" Soliz; her husband John Monsen; her grandmother Andrea Garcia; her brothers, Eralio "Ed" Soliz Jr., Jay (Loretta Monsen) and Steve (Lois Monsen); and her extended family, Erline, Dean Denison, Ruben Bera and Angelo Bera.
She is survived by: her daughter Bethanie Monsen; her son-in-law John "Logan" Ford; her stepchildren, Cathie Lewis (Chad), Bobbie Woodward, John "Scott" Monsen (Beckie), Brenda Monsen, Mark Monsen (Natalie) and Kaylene Michels (Todd); her sister-in-law Char Soliz; her nieces, Starr and Sarah; her cousin Dave Garza; her brother Victor Soliz; her nephew Vic Jr.; and her sister-in-law Theresa.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stark Funeral Parlor (3651 S 900 E, Millcreek, UT 84106). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Olaf Catholic Church (276 E 1700 S, Bountiful, UT 84010).
