She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wright Shupe and Myrtle Bybee Shupe; her husband Frederick Oates; her siblings, Gloria Eager and James Wright Shupe Jr.; her grandson Cory Owens; and her great grandchild Colton Poulson.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Ward, Ray Ward (Eva), Ivan Ward (Linda), Clinton, Rochelle Owens (Douglas), Harrisville, Ellen Ward (Farrell) and Layton; and her stepchildren, Carol Onishi, Gloria Jean Gilbert (Bob), Roy, Luana Sant and Sylvia Oates. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren with 1 more on the way; 4 great-great grandchildren.
