He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Stokes and Helen Stokes of Ogden, Utah.; his granddaughter Dora Petersen; his siblings-in-law, Brad Hobbs, Greg Wheelwright and Janet Kappes; and his parents-in-law, Raymond and Lois Hobbs.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Hobbs Stokes; his children, Stacee Willden (Layne), Todd Stokes (Emily), Michael Stokes, Brandon Stokes (Tracy), Ryan Stokes (Kelly), Matthew Stokes (Audrey), Angela Kister (Matthew) and Emily Petersen (Daniel); and his sisters, Judy Wheelwright and Vickie Wagstaff (Dennis). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the North Ogden 3rd Ward (386 E Elberta Dr, North Ogden, UT 84414).
Memorial donations may be made to the Humanitarian aid fund for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
