She was predeceased by: her father Rodney Howell Young; and her grandparents, Ludene, Wayne Young, Fred and DeAnn Morgan.

She is survived by: her mother Thais Waddoups Young; her husband Kurt Douglas Hallesy; her children, Rodney Cameron Young, BreAnna Thais Jensen (Alec Nielsen), Jenna Lynn Bender (TJ) and Heather Mae Swarens (Joe); her stepfather Doug Wells; her sister Rochelle Faun Birnbaum (Matt); and her stepsiblings, Brittany Salaz, Allison, Ryan Wells and Corban Wells. She is also survived by six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please carry-on Christy's tradition of helping grieving or otherwise struggling families each holiday season.
