He was predeceased by: his parents, Ilda Clark and Mark Royden Benson; his wife Doris; his daughter Jolene Veibell (Kelly); and his brothers, Mark Benson (Annette) and John Clark Benson.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Johnson (Kent), Brad Benson, Janet Morrow (Steve), Craig Benson (Michelle), Michael Benson (Cami) and Jed Benson (Melanie); and his sister Ilda Berge of Newton. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
