She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Pearl Ambrose and Jack Ambrose; her husband Stephen J. Martinez; her children, Julie McCarren (Rory), Mark Martinez, Feliz Martinez-Ballard (Dan), Robyn Martinez-Slone (Joshua) and Risa Mitchell (Phillip); her grandchildren, Ian McCarren, Cecilia Wells (Justin), Andre Ribera, Desi Ribera (Leslie) and Gavin Haney; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Emory, Aubrey, Macie and Sidney.

Prior to Covid, she and Steve were weekly visitors to the Washington County Jail, reaching out to help young men and women to better their lives.
