He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Burns and John C "Jack" Burns. He is survived by: his wife Carol; and his children, John, David (Janelle), Andrew (Michelle), Joanne (Troy), Michael (Kiri) and Charlynn (Kim). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
