He was predeceased by: his grandparents, J. L., May C. Shields and Joyce B. Monroe; and his stepgrandmother Georgia R. Monroe. He is survived by: his parents, George Warren and Shelly Dee Shields Monroe; and his siblings, Maggie Monroe of Bountiful, Abbey (Adam Swift), Katie (Nelson Ha'o), Dayna Monroe of Denver, Colorado and Josie Monroe (Ethan Monroe) of Richfield. He is also survived by 3 nephews.
