He was predeceased by: his parents, John Taylor and Nellie Haslam Bird; his son Craig; his sisters, Emma, Arlene and Mary; and his grandchildren, Allison, Jacob and Charles Bird.
He is survived by: his former spouse LuJean Jensen; his children, Doug (Terry), Jeffry (Tennys), Kyle (Nancy) and Todd (Lisa); his wife Barbara; and his daughters, Lori Bushman (Barrett) and Diane Izzo (Sam). He is also survived by 35 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
