He was predeceased by: his parents, Francois Fontaine and Clarisse Fontaine (Couture); his brothers, Laurier, Egide (Rose) and Yves (Dotty); and his nephew Jean-Claude (Debbie).

He is survived by: his wife Connie; his sister Bonnie; his children, Noel Fontaine (Tonya) of Glens Falls, NY and Salt; and his sister-in-law Laurette Fontaine of Amenia, NY. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
