He was predeceased by: his parents, Merejilda Martinez and Carlos Martinez; his former wife Julia I Gonzales Martinez; his children, Kenny R. Martinez and Julie A. Martinez; and his siblings, Eva Herrera, Moises Martinez, Melecio Martinez, Rose Martinez and Maggie Madrid.

He is survived by: his wife Linda J. Martinez; his children, Kathie Baker (Ken), Robbie Snyder (John), Barney Martinez (Cindy), Jeffery Martinez (Lizette) and Nicholas Martinez (Katie); and his sister Arbella Melton. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren.
