He was predeceased by: his father Jimmie Yazzie; his brothers, Roger, David and Emery; his pet Elias; and his cockatiels, Chip and Dale.
He is survived by: his mother Daisy Davis; his brothers, Lewis, Alex, Ted and Morgan; his wife Loretta Tsosie; his children, Jerilee (Wayne), J'lynn (Tevita) and Nathanael; his adoptive children, Brandon, Kandis, Jonathan and Malik; his grandchildren, Maria, Lorenzo, Mayzie, Alexandria, Dayne, Sam and Mary; his great grandchildren, Katalina, Ashton, Anselina, Rowan, Tevita and Amaia; and his grandchildren, Jasmine and Asa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
